
Singapore Optoelectronics Industry Business Mission
To promote the expansion of Hong Kong’s small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the optoelectronics manufacturing sector into the Asia-Pacific market, the Hong Kong Productivity Council will organize a study tour for Hong Kong SMEs to Singapore.
Engage in mutual exchanges with local optoelectronics industry research institutes and the entire upstream and downstream manufacturing supply chain, sharing industrial and innovation technology development experiences from both regions, and exploring collaboration opportunities with enterprises.
Special arrangements will be made for on-site visits to laboratories, factories, and enterprises in Singapore to deepen the business community’s understanding of the business environments in both regions and to enhance cooperation.

As the global optoelectronic device market continues to grow, Singapore has become a major hub for the global semiconductor industry, leading the region in optoelectronic research, production, and manufacturing activities.
To help Hong Kong’s small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the optoelectronics manufacturing sector expand into the Asia-Pacific market, the Hong Kong Productivity Council will organize a business mission of Hong Kong SMEs to visit Singapore.
Business Mission Details
- Engage in business discussions with local optoelectronics industry players, including manufacturers and R&D institutions across the entire industry chain, to explore business cooperation opportunities and expand the market.
- Special arrangements for on-site visits to laboratories, factories, and enterprises in Singapore to deepen mutual understanding of the business environment between the two regions and enhance cooperation.

- Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD): A campus established in collaboration with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), representing a fusion of innovative design and technological advancement.
- Local Singaporean companies including but not limited to: Edmund Optics (optical device design and manufacturing), I-Photonics, Evatec AG (optical coating enterprises), Yokogawa, Mitutoyo, Trioptics, Heidelberg Instruments (optical measurement instrument enterprises).
