Nature and Objective

A data centre is a facility designed for providing uninterrupted services to data processing operations. It consolidates information technology resources to enable computerized services, applications and transactions. Many IT professional and facility managers are challenged with enhancing data centre performance while keeping the maintenance and operation costs down.

Realizing the importance of the profession, Hong Kong Productivity Council and the Institution of Data Centre Engineers jointly organized this course to further explore plant operation management and M&E topics of data centres. This course equips participants with a comprehensive knowledge of modern data centre's operation and maintenance strategies. It adopts a practical and specialized approach to enable participants to apply what they have learned from discussion case studies and practical experience sharing.

The course is accredited by the Institution of Data Centre Engineers as satisfying for Full Member (MIDCE) academic requirement pending on experience. Holder of this Certificate of Attendance with sufficient experience can apply for the MIDCE.

Participants who are awarded the Certificate of Attendance will be recognized to have Professional Development Record (equivalent to Continuing Professional Development Record) of Institution of Data Centre Engineers.
