Nature and Objective

The objective of this workshop is to transfer the latest advanced steel materials, related alloys, outstanding physical and chemical properties, processing characteristics for stamping, die casting, machining and other operations as well as applications in different critical auto parts making to local manufacturers. The subject technologies to be transferred will support local auto parts and related products manufacturers to move up the value-added ladder in structural and critical auto parts making.

Besides, the required equipment and technologies for post processing in auto parts manufacturing plant, such as alloying and annealing treatment device, surface treatment furnace and cold forming equipment will be transferred and analyzed. A significant number of case studies are included to elaborate the applications, technological details, cost effectiveness in adopting different advanced steel materials and alloys for making different critical auto parts and components.
