Highlights

This certification programme is designed for transformational business leaders who need to lead innovative projects and teams under the Industry 4.0 and Enterprise 4.0 era with Modern Agile Tools and Techniques. Participants will also be eligible to attend the PMI Project Management Professional (PMP®) examination. Learning hours of this training are eligible for PDU/CEU /CPDs.

Introduction

The modern project management, based on A Guide to the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK® Guide) 7th Edition (released in 2021), is a new mindset, process, procedure, practices, and most importantly a set of methodology (including agile, hybrid, adaptive, predictive, etc.) for transformative leaders to select the right mode of human-centric method of determining the genuine requirements of projects in a highly flexible, collaborative and interactive manner. It also encompasses modern agile tools and techniques to empower project leaders to manage the transformation effectively. In addition, it is a new level of framework of standard in upskilling innovative leaders in managing modern diversified projects such as but not limited to technological, business and digital transformation project portfolio by:

  • Engaging business stakeholders tactfully (People Domain)
  • Promoting effective feedback in all agile, hybrid and adaptive sprints (Process Domain)
  • Supporting external business change such as technology advancement, innovation methodology update, industry practices leap, industry 4.0 paradigm shift, etc. (Business Environment Domain)

Programme Content

Domain I: People (42%)

  • Define Team Ground Rules based on Agile Manifesto
  • Manage Conflict between Business Stakeholders and Innovation Change Team
  • Lead an Agile Project Team
  • Empower Agile Team Members and Stakeholders in Daily Scrum
  • Utilise Agile Project Management Information Systems (PMIS) for Strategic Stakeholder Management

Domain II: Process (50%)

  • Plan Agile Project by using Rolling Wave Planning Technique and Progress Elaboration
  • Compare and Contrast Different Adaptive Life Cycles including Agile, Iterative and Incremental settings
  • Monitor and Control Agile Project Progress through Collaboration Technology e.g. Kanban, Chat-boards, Value Stream Map, etc.
  • Manage Communications in Virtual Team Settings through Communication Technology e.g. instant messaging app, online co-creation tools, AI-enabled scheduling agent, e-Task boards, Timeboxing cobots and Case Tools.
  • Manage Agile Project Scope by Backlog, Sprint Reviews, Storyboarding, Prototyping Techniques
  • Manage Product Owner Requirements in Requirement Traceability Matrix on PM Information System (PMIS)
  • Define Scope by Project Analysis Techniques, User Story Points, T-Shirt Sizing
  • Manage Schedule by Velocity Analysis Backlog Reprioritisation, Scaling projects, Timeboxing from Scrum/Agile practices – Introduce Modern Agile Contract Types
  • Manage Agile Project Risks by Incremental Delivery, Minimum Viable Product (MVP), Minimum Business Increment (MBI), Timeboxing techniques
  • Enable Agile Operating System: Co-Workers Mutual Support, Knowledge Transparency through collaboration technology

Domain III: Business Environment (8%)

  • Establish Transformation Governance Structure e.g. Agile, Scrum, Scrum of Scrums, hierarchical settings
  • Introduce Disciplined-Agile: A tool kit that harnesses hundreds of Agile practices including agile, lean, etc. to guide transformation leaders to select the best way of working for organisation
  • Utilise Monte Carlo Simulation Techniques on evaluating and addressing external random, dynamic and fast-changing business environment
  • Deliver Agile Project Benefits and Values through Agile Benefit Realisation Techniques
  • Reprioritise Backlog in the Agile Team tactfully
  • Support Organisation Transformational Change
