
This professional certificate programme targets at Construction Health and Safety Supervisors in upholding the high standards with reference to the latest occupational safety and health knowledge.
Concepts and roles on modern health and safety knowledge and skills would be included so that they can apply appropriate supervisory skills to process routine challenges.
Programme Objectives
Upon completion of the programme, participants should be able to:

“Professional Certificate for Construction Health and Safety Supervisors” will be awarded to participants who have completed the full programme requirement with full attendance rate and obtained an overall pass (50%) in the assessment and examination.
Trainers Profile
Dr Alex Tse, Chun Kuen
Dr TSE Chun Kuen, Alex is a seasoned health, safety and environment practitioner, educator, mentor and training professional. He has over 28 years of solid experience in occupational health, safety and environment (HSE). He started his career as a frontline HSE practitioner in local universities then later moving onto management and teaching of various programmes related to HSE. Dr. Tse has contributed to professional and community services related to occupational health and safety for many years and counting.
Dr TSE is a Hong Kong Registered Safety Officer, Registered Professional Hygienist, and Chartered Safety and Health Practitioner. He is a Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) from American Board of Industrial Hygiene, a Professional Member of Arboricultural Association and a Fellow of the Chartered Management Institute (FCMI), the International Institute of Risk & Safety Management (FIIRSM) and the Hong Kong Institution of Occupational and Environmental Hygiene (FMHKIOEH). He is currently serving several local and overseas health and safety organisations as Honorary Secretary, Honorary Advisor, Chair, Council Member and Committee Member respectively.
Mr. Jimmy, Han-shing LAU
Mr. Jimmy LAU starts his health and safety career in 1977 when he was working for the mass transit railway construction project in Hong Kong. Jimmy qualified in 1986 to become a Registered Safety Officer, and an Accredited Safety Auditor in 1996. Since 1996, Jimmy has worked with the Occupational Safety and Health Council (Hong Kong), as Independent Safety Auditor and has completed over 400 safety audits for the Government projects in Hong Kong. He is recognized in the United Kingdom, as well as in Hong Kong for his work in construction health and safety. He also assisted the China construction firms to develop the safety management systems in Hong Kong, as well as in Africa.
As Chairman of the Hong Kong Society of Registered Safety Auditors and Review Officers twice, Jimmy plays a major role in the Greater Bay Area health and safety development, and he is also one of the driving forces in the Occupational Health and Safety Academy for the Greater Bay Area.
