Course Introduction

This 3.5-hour course introduces non-technical professionals to “vibe coding” — a practical approach to building AI-powered tools without programming.
Through guided demos and hands-on exercises, participants will create simple workplace tools and learn how to apply AI to improve productivity and automate daily tasks.

2. Foundations of Vibe Coding

  • The 4-step Vibe Loop
  • Prompt structure:
    o Context: Provide the background information.
    o Goal: State exactly what you want the AI to achieve.
    o Constraints: List the “rules” of the task.
    o Output: Define the format of the result.
  • Examples of good vs vague prompts
  • Quick prompt rewrite exercise

3. Live Demo: Build a Tool

  • Build a simple internal web tool live
  • Showing: Initial prompt, Running the tool, Iterating with improvements
  • Add step-by-step features
  • Demonstrate fixing errors with AI

4. Hands-On Exercise #1

  • Participants build a small tool:
    o Tracker: stock tracker
    o Dashboard: visualization of a uploaded file
    o Generator: generate PDF files
    o Internal utility: sales forecast, break even analysis, cost calculators etc.
  • Generate → test → improve
