Course Introduction
Water leakage can damage property and affect neighbourly relations.
Identifying its source requires professional judgement and evidence-based analysis.
This 3-day course equips PropTech professionals with essential theory and hands-on skills in building diagnostics and water tightness assessment. Learn to apply infrared technology for smarter, non-destructive inspections. Experts from HKPC will also share advanced Non-Destructive Testing techniques, including drone-based inspections and electromagnetic radiation detection.
What is ISO 9712 NDT Certification?
ISO 9712 is an internationally recognized standard for the qualification and certification of non-destructive testing (NDT) personnel. It ensures that certified individuals possess the necessary theoretical knowledge and practical skills to competently perform NDT tasks across various industrial sectors. Certification under ISO 9712 enhances safety, reliability, and quality in industries such as construction, aerospace, manufacturing, and energy.
Our training course specifically targets Level 1 certification for thermographic testing, designed for personnel who carries out NDT according to written instructions and under supervision. This foundational level equips participants to set up equipment, perform tests, record results, and report findings.
Target Audience
- Technical personnel involved in building diagnostics, waterproofing inspections, and non-destructive testing
- Site inspectors, engineers, and consultants
- Candidates with backgrounds in civil engineering, building surveying, or materials science
- Professionals from construction, testing, and consultancy firms
- Individuals interested in building diagnostics
Key Takeaway
- Understand the fundamentals of infrared thermography and thermal imaging for building diagnostics.
- Learn how to assess potential debonding or delamination in wall finishes using thermographic analysis.
- Explore techniques for detecting thermal anomalies in waterproofing systems via walkover and aerial surveys.
- Gain essential knowledge for ISO 9712 Level 1 thermographic testing certification.
- Develop the ability to interpret thermograms for reliable, non-destructive water-tightness evaluations.
